Seen and Noted

In difficult economic times, it’s left to the creative manager to find ways to inspire morale without breaking the bank. Fortunately, we’re here to help!

What better way to recognize employees than with customized name tags? Sure, you can go the traditional route of listing an employee’s name and job title. Or you can jazz up your nametags with personalized messages of appreciation. Consider the following:
  • Service Recognition Name Tag: Add a line like “Valued Staff Member Since 1992” or “Celebrating 10 Years of Outstanding Service” under the employee’s name. It shows that you care about the hard work they’ve put in over the years.

  • Employee of the Month Name Tag: Design a special name tag for your employee of the month to wear. Be creative by selecting one of our custom shapes, such as a star, or even upgrading to one of our spin- or die-cast custom medals complete with personalized lanyard.

  • Color-Coordinated Achievement Name Tag: Use specially colored nametags to represent specific goals earned, such as reaching a sales milestone or an accreditation level.

  • Nickname Name Tag: Spotlight your employee’s unique contributions by adding a descriptive nickname to their nametag, such as “King of Sales” or “Queen of Customer Service.”

  • Attendance Name Tag: Encourage good attendance by handing out name tags with 3-, 6-, or 12-month perfect attendance commendations.
By using personalized name tags, the only limit to boosting employee morale is your imagination – not your budget. And who knows? By coming up with such a cost-effective solution, you may even earn a special nametag of your own one day!

The Price is Right!

It’s happened to all of us. You go to make an online purchase and the actual price is much higher than the price you thought you were getting when you selected your items. Why does this happen?

There are plenty of techniques that online merchants use to get more money out of their customers. But you won’t find us using those techniques at Name-Tags.net.

Here’s what to look for when it comes to added or hidden fees at other online merchants:
  • Additional charges for various sizes
  • Additional charges for titles or multiple lines
  • Additional charges for rush delivery of nametags
  • Hidden set-up fees
  • Additional charges for second proofs
  • Additional charges for individual packing of name tags
  • Deceptive pre-set prices for shipping
Another thing to avoid when considering other online merchants? The promise of free shipping. Just because the shipping cost isn’t line itemized, don’t believe you aren’t being charged for it somewhere along the line!

But at Name-Tags.net, you can rest assured that the price you’re quoted will be the price you pay, thanks to the following:
  • One price for all sizes, even custom-sized nametags
  • One price no matter how many lines
  • No charge for on-time delivery of name tags
  • A modest $25 set-up fee for all new orders and no charge for reorder set up
  • No charge, no matter how many proofs
  • No charge for individually bagging each nametag
  • Shipping prices determined by the actual cost of shipping
At Name-Tags.net, we take pride in providing excellent customer service. And we don’t think sneaking in hidden fees and overcharging you for our name tags is a good way to provide that. We want to build a relationship with you, our customer. It’s what we’ve been doing for almost 25 years. And it’s what we plan to continue doing.

Join us next post when we’ll be talking about how a simple nametag can dramatically improve your relationship with your customers. Until then, remember that…

Precious Metals

When it comes to making a good impression in the corporate world, it’s hard to beat the timeless elegance of an engraved or digitally imprinted metal name tag.

To make our metal nametags, we start a with fine, high-quality aluminum foundation enhanced by a brushed finish. This finish is typically gold or silver but can also be white or bronze; many find that the silver or white background tends to show color better.

Once a color selection has been made, we either engrave or digitally imprint the nametag with your text and logo. With engraving, the surface of the name tag is etched with a diamond tip cutter to reveal the nametag’s core color, making it an ideal choice for more basic, two-color images and text. With digital imprinting, a full spectrum of colors can be added to the name tag’s surface, allowing for more complex logos and other multi-color images. (Keep in mind, however, that while exact PMS colors cannot be matched, most can be accurately approximated.)

After your nametag has been created, the corners are rounded to give it a professional appearance. As a finishing touch, we often recommend adding metal badge frame (shown right). These metal frames, which come in silver or gold, are especially popular for our line of executive name tags. In no time at all, you’ll be on your way to making an excellent first – and lasting – impression.

Join us next post when we’ll share some quick tips about how to avoid hidden fees and save money when ordering name tags. Until then, remember that…

Picture This!

If a picture says a thousand words, then there’s no way to fit more words on a nametag than with a photo id badge!

Photo id badges have grown in popularity over the last few years, due to heightened concerns about security and identity theft. But while it used to be a tedious process to design, create, and produce a photo id badge, today it’s nothing short of simple thanks to the advent of digital printing. The only thing you need to get started is a digital camera and a digital file of your company logo!

Here are just few tips to keep in mind when taking photos for your customized name tags:

• Take all the photos the same distance from the subject.
• Take the photo against a light-color or bland background (a sheet can be hung and used for this purpose).
• Take all the photos in the same lighting (this is more of an issue if you are taking the photos outdoors or in natural light).

By following these steps, you can ensure the consistency of your photo id badges. After that, our trained professionals are on-hand to walk you through the rest of the process. Before you know it, you’ll have your high-quality personalized nametags in hand.

Another bonus? Because we can print batches of as few as five badges, you can even order photo ids for modest gatherings, such as a business dinner or training seminar, or a small group of staff, such as front desk or security personnel. (For an added touch, consider a customized lanyard imprinted with your company logo.)

So the next time you consider ordering nametags, think about upgrading to a photo id badge. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it says volumes about your organization’s commitment to professionalism.
